The Hazel McCallion Foundation is proud to have awarded its first ever grant of $25,000 to the National Arts Foundation for the creation of the Oscar Peterson Statue in Ottawa. Standing in front of the National Arts Centre, the sculpture is a tribute to this renowned musician, dear friend and long time Mississauga resident.
The sculpture was unveiled on June 30, 2010 during a royal visit by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
