Innovative initiatives or projects that will contribute to the arts, culture and heritage in the City of Mississauga, or ones that showcase the art and ingenuity of Mississauga citizens to the rest of the world.
Yes, providing your organization meets the requirements of the grants program, see Grants Program Purpose and Procedures.
Applicant organizations must be incorporated or registered, not-for-profit organizations based in Mississauga with a duly constituted board of directors and officers.
The Foundation uses the investment income earned on its endowment fund to convey grants to worthy arts, culture and heritage initiatives. Because investment income fluctuates, the number and amount of grants may vary from year to year.
Grants will be limited to 50 per cent of the project being applied for to a maximum of $5,000. The Foundation reserves the right to make special one-time grants to projects that have a broader community benefit in one of the three funding areas of arts, culture or heritage.
The Foundation accepts project proposals on an ongoing basis and approves them on a quarterly basis.
The application and approval process may take three or more months depending on the timing of our funding cycle and availability of funds.
